Imaginarium Designs May Share.

Hi everyone, Hope you all had a wonderful Mothers Day and had a very relaxing day. I'm back this month to share some of the pieces that I created recently.

My first piece was produced for the amazing Kraft+ Out of the Box Challenge which Imaginarium Designs were sponsoring this month. The challenge was to not use square or rectangular photos on a Kraft paper stock background.

I used a honeycomb die from Tim Holtz to cut out the photo and covered the hexagon shapes out of the Honeycomb chipboard and Loolabelles' nested hexagons to compliment the photo shape. The title 'Got the travel bug' and 'oh yeah' were painted with acrylic paint.

My second piece is a journal page. I love using my handmade journal to explore techniques, paints/inks and products. I alway use pieces of Imaginarium chipboard in this journal.

The background was created using Finnabair metallic paints over gessoed pages and tissue paper with distressed printed material and material threads. The chipboard obtained it's sparkling depth was a simple layer of Finnabair metallic teal paint or StazOn Midnight blue ink.

The chipboard I used included:
Birdcage (4 on board) IDT0009

Explore Adventure Discover IDW0100

Skeltonal feather IDDL006
Morrocan Corner IDC0013
The third piece is a canvas layout using Inktense pencils to draw interlocking squares like the chipboard I used.

Scrappy Chat Design 'Sunshine and Memories' kit- "Smile"

Hello Scrappy Chat Friends Sandi here with you today to share my first layout I have created using the 'Sunshine and Memories' kit.

As soon as I saw the papers in this kit I knew what photos would be perfect. My granddaughter loves to take selfies and I found these on my phone one day, she fills my life with so much laughter.

This kit is filled with beautiful papers which although I used them to create a little girls feminine page could be used for a males layout out as well.  The stencil and Distress Crayons are very versatile and have unlimited possibilities in their applications with the gorgeous Colour Crush Watercolour Ink adding a beautiful vibrant multi layered palette of colour.

Scrappy Chat 'Believe' Kit - Second layout share.

Hello Sandi here with you today to share my second layout I have created using the

Scrappy Chat Designs

'Believe' kit

My favourite kit so far, I chose these papers because of their vibrancy yet delicate colours with the designs lending themselves to so many possibilities.  The stickers sheet is full of inspiration in both colour and words for titles.

There is a stencil in the kit which is one that can be used in so many backgrounds and the Distress Oxide ink pad included is from Rangers is the perfect colour to stencil with, edge, distress or highlight a range of materials.

I had lot of fun making the pages I created and creating the videos and instructions in this kit for you to try.

Kraft+ Out of the box May 17 challenge.

Hi, everyone. Imaginarium Designs Chipboard are excited to sponsor the latest Kraft+ Out of the Box May Challenge and I'd like to share with you what I have created to share with you all on Kraft+ using this amazing products of Kraft Paper and Imaginarium Designs Chipboard.

May 2017

We love camping and don't have to have an excuse to jump in the car and hook on the camper and head off to enjoy the open spaces.

The items I used included:

  • Kraft Paper Stock: Plain and Patterned

  • Kraft paper tag

  • White Gesso

  • Tim Holtz Stencil 'Treads'

  • Tim Holtz Alterations Die 'Honeycomb'

  • Kaisercraft Clear stamp 'Sketchy'

  • Ranger Distress Oxide Ink 'Vintage Photo'

  • Hessian

  •  Magenta Acrylic Paint

  • Black Wire Thread

  •  Staz On Black Ink

  • Imaginarium Designs Chipboard:

Honeycomb 6x6 IDS0054

Loolobelle's nested hexagons IDD0017

Just Kidding Oops oh yeah blah blah IDW0098

Got the travel bug IDP0206

I covered the hexagons shapes with the patterned kraft paper and painted the words with the Magenta acrylic paint.

The Distress oxide was used with the Treads stencil over the white gesso with StazOn used to stamp with the 'Sketchy' background stamp.

I used my Big Shot Sizzix Cutting Machine and the Tim Holtz Alterations Die 'Honeycomb' to cut the photo into a puzzle of sorts. I glued the pieces onto another piece of Kraft paper to strengthen the photo as well as stopping it from falling into pieces again. I kept some pieces out and cut the Kraft paper out to give it a more 3D look.

Thanks for popping over and checking out my lastest creation. So how about it???.... Take on the challenge and have some fun.......I look forward to seeing the creations that you design to enter into this creative challenge over at Kraft+.
